EA guidance on the application of ISO/IEC 17020 to periodic roadworthiness testing of motor vehicles and their trailers
The European Co-operation for Accreditation (EA) has recently published an updated version of the guidance document EA-5/02. The document provides guidance on the application of ISO/IEC 17020 in the field of periodic roadworthiness testing of motor vehicles and their trailers. The purpose of the document is, among other things, to facilitate a harmonised application in assessments of control inspections carried out by accreditation bodies within the The document has been produced by EA in collaboration with CITA, the International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee. Swedac intends to apply EA-5/02 in assessments of inspection bodies. The assessment is that the document does not lead to any changes in the current application.
