– Normally, we work with inspections and certification of pressure vessels in, for example, paper mills and power plants where the pressure conditions are within a significantly smaller range. ESS, on the other hand, has an extremely wide spectrum with pressures of up to 3000-4000 bar, in a couple of inner casings up to 1 million bar, and with temperatures that can quickly shift from absolute zero to several hundred degrees, explains Filip Jinnestrand, Regional Manager South at DEKRA and responsible for the ESS project within DEKRA.
