World Accreditation Day 2025

June 9th is World Accreditation Day, a global initiative established by International Laboratory Accreditation Co-operation (ILAC) and International Accreditation Forum Inc (IAF) to promote the value of accreditation as a prerequisite for us to feel safe and secure in society. This year's theme is about how accreditation can strengthen small and medium-sized businesses by giving them tools to grow, improve quality and reach new markets.

Accreditation means that a company or organization receives impartial and internationally accepted approval of having the competence, systems and procedures to carry out certain specific tasks in testing, inspection, control or certification. By evaluating the competence and impartiality of these bodies, accreditation provides quality assurance that ensures that products, services and processes meet all requirements. In this way, accreditation contributes to creating security in our society.
