Accidents are prevented annually thanks to the discovery of serious deficiencies in connection with inspections. Every year, approximately 150,000 inspections are carried out in Sweden according to the Work Environment Authority&#039;s regulations, 170,000 within the scope of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning&#039;s regulations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspection activities in the lifting sector span a range of areas, from individual lifts in smaller residential buildings to large lifting devices in Turning Torso, from cranes in industrial facilities such as nuclear power plants, rock caverns or construction sites to the inspection of motorized equipment and machine-operated doors. An important issue for lifting devices, as well as other safety-critical equipment, is that the owner has control over them and that they are inspected as intended. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, which is why Swetic&#039;s technical committee Lyft regularly works to increase consensus, collaboration and discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prescribing authorities in the area include the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the Swedish Board of Housing, Building and Planning, the Swedish National Police Board, the Swedish Transport Agency and the Swedish Maritime Administration. Swetic&#039;s technical committee Lyft works to design assessment guidelines for regulations and rules in an effort to achieve equal assessment across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other types of issues that TK Lyft deals with are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>National and international standardization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevant questions received from authorities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accidents that occurred<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Questions from interest organizations such as the Swedish Elevator Association and the Port Group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that the committee does not handle individual cases or appeals of inspection results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assessment guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All questions and answers below are marked with the date of publication so that their relevance can be assessed.
