This means sufficient free space according to point 2.2 of the Lift Directive or that other measures are taken that provide equivalent safety. This is possible in connection with major\/substantial changes or replacement of the control system, apparatus rack and\/or machinery. See BFS 2011:12 Chapter 2 \u00a71, 5b. The requirement for the safety equipment applies as an alternative to the free space according to point 2.2 of the Lift Directive.
