Comment: (Corresponding requirements for braking distance are found in the inspection of screw-driven lifts in Appendix 4 of the regulation.) The maximum deceleration forces to which passengers are exposed should also be taken into account if the photocell device is activated and the movement of the lift car before it stops can take place without danger to the passengers.
