Certification of boiler operators should not be considered an unnecessary cost but an important investment in safety.

Improper handling can cause serious damage

Handling pressurized boilers carries significant risks and mishandling can lead to serious injuries. Certification attests to correct handling and knowledge of the operators.

The Swedish system for accreditation and certification works

The procedures and methods associated with accreditation and certification are well-tried and have proven to work very well in several areas. It is therefore high time to apply the system to more areas and create the conditions for a safe and sustainable society.

Predictability and continuity over regulatory burden reductions:

The government and authorities should focus on providing a stable and predictable regulatory environment rather than reducing the regulatory burden in ways that could compromise safety. We are therefore critical of the authority's inability to provide clear messages and the multiple postponements of the certification introduction, which have created uncertainty and difficulties for companies to plan.

Debate article – certification of boiler operators

Letter to the Swedish Work Environment Authority

["post-348","focus_area","type-focus_area","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
