Testing
TK Provning works to design and harmonize interpretation rules that apply to directives, regulations and rules from our authorities. The goal is to achieve an equivalent assessment regardless of where the laboratory is located, as well as requirements that ensure that laboratories compete on the same terms within other EU countries. TK Provning covers all types of testing and calibration activities based on ISO/IEC 17025.
Product testing
Product testing can be used to demonstrate compliance with, for example, the LVD, EMC and R&TTE directives. The test report is included as part of the manufacturer's or importer's technical file.
If you need documents such as supplier assessments, please contact the office.
Radiation protection training from TK Provning
Radiation protection is important in radiography. The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) has therefore issued regulations in the area that state that all laboratories must appoint a radiation protection expert and train all their staff who work with radiography. The regulations state what the training should include, how long it should last and that it should include a knowledge test. There is currently an established collaboration between the Swedish testing laboratories within Swetic to maintain this. We also have a common radiation protection expert, Christer Hjalmarsson, who, in addition to being able to consult him on radiation protection issues, also holds courses for the entire industry.
Before testing engineers in a testing laboratory can start working with X-rays, they must have completed a basic training course in radiation protection, which lasts 2 days.
After 5 years, you must undergo a refresher course that lasts 1 day. This will also include a knowledge test.
SSM also prescribes supervisors. The industry interprets this as meaning that each local office must have a trained supervisor. The supervisor must have completed supervisor training, which is 1 day. This is always combined with refresher training so that those who are, or want to become supervisors, can stay and attend 2 days instead of one. Supervisors must therefore attend refresher training every 5 years and the supervisor supplement, i.e. 2 days of training every 5 years.
