— Swetic has a standing item during our working meetings and updates us on the latest from the inspection bodies. In addition, members can ask questions directly to the inspectors about interpretations and technical issues that have arisen during, for example, elevator inspections. This not only provides added value for our members but also contributes to increased consensus between the industries, says Anne Geitmann, Secretary General of the Swedish Elevator Association.

Last year, the Swedish Elevator Association produced a report on safety risks in elevators, after having long been pushing the issue of increased safety in the Swedish elevator stock towards authorities, including together with Swetic.

"Our common view on safety issues is important for both industries. We synchronize our consultation responses and dialogues with authorities and decision-makers to demonstrate a unified and united industry," says Anne Geitmann.

"In addition to increased understanding of each other's work and a good relationship between the industries, collaboration helps Swetic's members have an ear to the ground and can quickly pick up on current events that may affect their operations. It is important and a collaborative dialogue we are happy to have with several industries," concludes Hanna Eriksson Lagerberg, industry manager for Swetic.
